About 'accounts recruitment'|Recruitment Karyawan Baru Posisi Account Manager MTI di Bandung Oktober 2013

In               2007,               I               retired               from               work               at               age               44.

Extenuating               circumstances               in               my               husband's               work               life               and               my               personal               goals               brought               me               to               that               important               juncture.

When               my               husband's               job               required               him               to               live               in               another               city               for               a               year,               I               realized               that               that               temporary               blip               in               our               lives               didn't               warrant               giving               up               our               home               and               moving               away               from               our               young               adult               daughter.

Another               important               factor               was               that               my               husband's               income               had               increased               substantially               over               the               years,               thus               rendering               mine               as               more               of               "extra"               money.

Thus               we               decided               with               his               absence               and               my               priorities               focused               more               on               family               life               and               writing,               early               retirement               made               sense.
Although               this               decision               appeared               to               be               a               "no-brainer"               to               outsiders,               retirement               at               age               44               was               a               scary               thought.

I               had               worked               since               age               16,               raised               a               daughter,               written               in               my               spare               time,               and               up               until               a               very               recent               point,               my               income,               albeit               not               substantial,               had               been               critical               to               maintaining               our               lifestyle.
               My               income               is               gone!
As               a               recruitment               coordinator               for               ten               years               at               a               hospital               in               Louisville,               Kentucky,               I               earned               around               $34,000               annually               that               netted               me               around               $2,000               monthly               for               the               "extras"               we               had               wanted:               vacations,               vehicles,               etc.

But               that               had               only               been               in               recent               years.

My               income               had               always               played               a               role               in               paying               bills,               buying               groceries,               etc.,               up               until               around               5               years               into               my               work               at               the               hospital.
Upon               retiring,               my               income               for               the               extras               was               gone,               as               was               my               source               of               spending               money.

As               such,               I               started               to               build               up               my               writing               on-line               and               relied               on               my               husband               for               spending               money               until               I               started               to               earn               enough               on               my               own               through               writing.
My               lifestyle               changed               having               gone               from               $2,000               a               month               for               spending               and               the               extras               down               to               around               $400               a               month.

Incredibly,               I               found               that               could               I               make               it               on               $400               a               month               easily.

No               more               wasted               food,               eating               out               too               much,               or               paying               for               help               around               the               house.

I               became               "the               help".
               Saving               and               Planning               for               Retirement
My               husband               and               I               had               already               been               saving               for               a               number               of               years               toward               retirement.

We               started               by               each               opening               an               IRA               in               our               early               thirties               and               making               contributions               when               possible.
I               also               built               up               a               401(k)               during               my               tenure               at               the               hospital.

My               husband               has               several               pensions               including               a               TSP               (Thrift               Savings               Plan               through               the               Federal               government)               and               has               always               made               heftier               contributions               toward               those               plans.
We               have               several               savings               accounts               and               have               invested               in               a               few               stocks               that               generate               minimum               dividends.

Our               portfolio               also               includes               a               mutual               fund               where               most               of               our               money               is               and               annuities.
